Who we are

Centre for Integrated Research and Community Development Uganda, CIRCODU is a non-profit organization that promotes health awareness, sustainable energy resource use and environment conservation by integrating research and development. The organization was founded in 2006 and is dully registered under the Uganda Companies Act.

Our vision is to attain a healthy environment and strong research capacity for sustainable community development.
CIRCODU brings together a multidisciplinary team of consultants, with a bandwidth of experience in different fields. Our core team includes full-time based and part-time staff and consultants. Our ability to deliver is demonstrated by the professional expertise of our team/staff and the company experience shown by the selected assignments so far conducted. The organization was founded in 2006 and is dully registered under the Uganda Companies Act.

Joseph holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden and has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Makerere University. He has also obtained a Certificate in Energy Systems and Energy carriers in developing countries (solar, hydro, wind, biomass etc)

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda. She researched on post-harvest handling practices that influence the Physico-chemical properties and microbial status of beef in the meat value chain in Uganda. The research was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development under the Reduction of Postharvest Losses and Value Addition in East African Food Value Chains Project (RELOAD project).
