She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Mbarara University of Science and Technology in Uganda.
She researched on post-harvest handling practices that influence the Physico-chemical properties and microbial status of beef in the meat value chain in Uganda. The research was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development under the Reduction of Postharvest Losses and Value Addition in East African Food Value Chains Project (RELOAD project). She also holds a Master of Science in Biology degree (Natural Resource, Ecology & Conservation) and a Bachelor’s degree in science Education both from Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Other previous areas of research are on restoration potential of degraded areas, ethnobotany and water and sanitation. Besides that, she teaches at Kyambogo University, Kampala Uganda.
Besides CIRCODU research interests which she upholds including energy, health and environment conservation, her other interests include Agriculture and food safety, water and sanitation, biodiversity and ecology and ethnobotany.
